To taste the joys of summer, you are welcome to take a drink on the terrace and refresh yourself by the pool. For those interested in outdoor recreational activities, we suggest you take a bike tour starting from l'Auberge.

A few steps away from l'Auberge

- Nearby from l'Auberge there's an old summer chapel which was built at the turn of the 19th century. Nowadays, a tour guide gives you the opportunity to learn about the history of the village. Close by, there's a magnificent outlook which represents an important heritage site. From the bell-tower, you can see l'Isle-aux-Coudres and the canal.

- The Papeterie Saint-Gilles building used to be a school, and was converted into a paper mill in 1965.

- The Maritime museum of Charlevoix was a major shipbuilding site. During that time, most schooners seen in the Charlevoix area were built on the Saint-Joseph-de-la-Rive banks.

- Les Santons de Charlevoix store has many small hand painted clay figurines for sale which represent the nativity scene, traditional crafts, as well as buildings which are typical of those in Charlevoix.
